“ As a first-time customer at Echo 3 Coffee House & Roastery in Darlington, I was impressed by their unique Star Wars-themed ambiance and the welcoming atmosphere. The staff were friendly and knowledgeable, guiding me through their selection of hand-roasted coffees. I decided to purchase two bags of their house blend ground coffee. Due to needing it a slightly finer ground, I had to pop back the next day – which wasn’t an issue and was certainly worth the wait. Upon brewing the house blend, I found the flavour to be intense yet smooth, reflecting the care they put into roasting their beans. It's evident why many consider Echo 3 to have the best coffee in Darlington. Tucked away in Clark’s Yard, it really is a hidden gem. Overall, my experience with Echo 3 was exceptional, and I look forward to returning to explore more of their offerings. ”
“ Faultless. Incredibly passionate staff, friendly, welcoming, and willing to talk to you about their coffee (As long as it’s not too busy, which a lot of the time it is, for good reason!) Had an espresso first time to experience their roast, and left with a bag of beans for home. They have their own baked things which are delicious and fresh. They don’t have much in the way of gluten free bites but they have limited space so I can’t hold that against them! Plenty of non dairy options for milky drinks, and their designs are swoon-worthy. Just go, cmon. Highly recommend. ”

Smashes all the big coffee conglomerates out of the water, on both quality of products & price too (everything in the photo amounted to a mere 7.10, you’d struggle to get 2 coffees for that price elsewhere). Staff were very friendly and the service was excellent too. It’s tucked away at the end of alleyway, to which I’ve never ventured before, fair to say I’m very pleased I did, as now whenever I’m around Darlington they will be my go to coffee shop. The ambience inside is very welcoming & quaint. Cannot recommend enough :) ”
“ Echo 3 is owned by a young couple who saw a gap in the Darlington market after visiting New Zealand, and have created something genuinely unique in a town full of homogeneous chain cafes and tea rooms. They roast their own beans (a proprietary blend) right there on the counter top behind the till, and the smell is enough to make you want to buy bags of the stuff! Situated in a quirky area of the town, just off the high street, it is joined by other independent businesses, and the vibe is immaculate. Also if you're a fan of Star Wars, you're in for a treat :) Dog friendly, with lovely bakery offerings and the best long black you'll get in the town. ”

“ Fantastic coffee shop tucked down a small alleyway in Darlington. The coffee itself is pleasant and very affordable. They make a large range of coffees and teas, and also provide decaf and soft drink options. The cakes/snacks they serve seem to change on a weekly basis and are fantastic. ”
“ SIMPLY THE BEST COFFEE EVER, Kris and Helen have a gem of a coffee shop, the coffee is amazing, and Helen bakes the most delicious homemade scones, and other sweet treats, we especially love the spiced tea loaf, “ginger ninja”(when you know you know ) Guinness Cake OMG!!! Cheese scones are great , Everything is V V TASTY. Once you have the coffee here, you’re hooked . ”
